Things I’ve learned from some of VGS’s tweets about interviewing Patrick Weekes:

– Confirmed that Cole did in fact know who/what Solas is.
– Early version of the Cole quest had you choosing between Spirit or Demon as opposed to Spirit or Human.
– Hawke might not be dead.
– WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MEET THE ARCHITECT IN HERE LIES THE ABYSS!!
– “The story of Solas is NOT a happy one.”(Well, duh.)
– Weekes still can’t say anything about or even confirm a Wolf Hunt DLC. (Not surprising.)
– There were earlier versions of the Solas/Mythal scene where the Inquisitor was present. (*sobs forever because they cut that*)
– Solas was written so that you would go through your second play through “slapping your forehead” about all the hints he’s dropping.
– “Established knowledge of the Dread Wolf didn’t affect the characterization of Solas.”
– Earlier versions of Solas lied a lot more. Changed because it weakened his character.
– First draft Solas never shut up about elves.
– Solas went through more changes than any other character.
– “Everyone knew who Solas was, everyone knew how his story was going to end before [Patrick] took it over.”
– Bull and Dorian relationship was discovered when Weekes and Gaider were roleplaying banter between the two of them and it resulted in the characters kissing.
