In the manga Ochako is definitely a few feet back, just passing by when she comments on his knife skills- but here she felt the need to just hang out right next to him when she’s clearly gathering wood and has NO reason to be at the table.
AND HIM. He’s just completely relaxed about her sidling up next to him until she makes the cheeky comment, like he doesn’t mind the proximity at all.
